Violin Tuition

Violin is my principal instrument and I have many years experience of teaching privately.

I am able to teach to the Associated Board for the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams from preliminary up to grade 8. I can also teach for fun and enjoyment entirely dependent on the students’ goals. I am experienced at teaching very young children right through to adults.

I have a toolkit of strategies to improve tone, accuracy of pitch and rhythm, and musicality. Many of these are fun games or exercises during which you barely notice you are practising.

I can offer lessons in slots of 20 minutes through to an hour and can help purchase books or materials if required. I can also offer advice on purchasing/hiring an instrument.

Violin tutoring can take place in my home or in yours and I have evening slots available.
